Privacy

Only the data needed to run the game.

GameSync is designed without traditional user accounts. You choose a player name, and shared games use a temporary anonymous identity.

Data in shared games

To keep a game in sync, session settings, chosen player names, scores, turn status, dice results, scorecards and necessary timing information are stored in Firebase. The data belongs to the game session, not to a personal GameSync profile.

Data on your phone

Your browser stores a random player identifier and required app data locally. A local scoreboard stays only on the device where it was created. If you install GameSync, a service worker and local cache also allow the app shell and local scoring to work offline.

Shared links

Anyone with a valid invitation link or QR code can attempt to open its game session. Only share the link with people who should take part.

Feedback

When you send feedback, the message, category, page, app version, anonymous browser identity and submission time are stored securely in Firebase. Public visitors cannot read submitted messages. Feedback is anonymous unless you choose to include an email address or other contact details in the message; contact details are used only to reply to you.

Your choices

You can remove locally stored GameSync data through your browser settings. Avoid using full names or other sensitive information in player names or feedback.
